Leeds City Centre

Leeds has firmly established itself as a vibrant, diverse and thriving city and it’s ever-expanding cultural and business life is in full bloom.

A unique culture has evolved around its distinctive bar and clubbing scene, which extends from the trendy Calls area to the effortlessly cool Northern Quarter. The lively nightlife is complemented by a selection of renowned restaurants, such as Antony’s, Bibis and The Calls Grill.

From boho chic to designer labels, the city’s first-class shopping facilities cater for every possible taste. The Victoria Quarter takes in a spectacular array of boutiques in opulent surroundings, while the Corn Exchange and Harvey Nichols are essential destinations for the latest fashion staples.

Culturally, the centre is spoilt for choice and has an exciting range of round-the-clock attractions. The nationally respected West Yorkshire Playhouse puts on a packed calendar of popular, entertaining and challenging theatre, while the recently refurbished Grand provides a home for Opera North. The Royal Armouries and Henry Moore Institute are two of the region’s most prestigious museums, while film-lovers are treated to the Vue cinema in The Light shopping centre.

Finally, should you ever wish to venture out of the centre, the city is well connected to its surroundings via an efficient transport network. The country’s major cities are close at hand by train, as is the lush rolling countryside of the Yorkshire Dales.
